FAQ

1/ What benefits will I gain from personal training?

Depending on your goals - whether you want to gain muscle mass, lose fat, increase health and well being or just gain some self confidence we can help you. Our trainers will assess your individual needs so we can design a plan for you to follow. We will help keep you on the correct path and if needed, we can perform fitness assessments to keep you motivated and help you see the changes that take place as you continue with our programs.

2/ What qualifications do our personal trainers have?

All our personal trainers are at Level 3 on the Register of Exercise Professionals. The Register of Exercise Professionals(REPs) is a regulatory body that helps safeguard the individuals who are using the services provided by fitness instructors. More information about REPs can be viewed on their website here: www.exerciseregister.org

3/ How long are the training sessions?

The basic session normally lasts 55 mins. Sometimes this may change though according to the individual's needs. Studies have show shorter training sessions can be a lot more effective than longer training sessions. The intensity of the session will also vary according the the general fitness of each individual.

4/ What is involved in a typical session?

A typical session can involve Cardio work, weight training, flexibility work and a appropriate warm up and cool down. The focus of the session will change depending on each individual's needs and what they would like to acheive. We can also plan future sessions so that each person is able to progress their training on their own.

5/ What is online or Virtual Personal Training?

By signing up to one of the virtual packages you will have access to your own calendar on the website. This will allow us to send and update fitness programs for you to perform in your home or at a gym. As well as this you will have access to your own personal trainer to guide and motivate you through your training. The amount of contact and program updates you have depends on the package you decide to purchase.

6/ Do I need any special equipment for Virtual Personal Training?

You just need a safe place to train where you can perform bodyweight exercises without falling into surrounding objects. If you have any fitness equipment(for example a stability ball and dumbbells) then we will be able to design a wider range of programs for you to use(the more equipment you have, the wider the range of programs that are available to you). If you don't have any exercise equipment though, don't worry, we can design great programs with simple bodyweight exercises to start with. A yoga or exercise mat would also be preferable so you don't slip over when you are training.
